| The Festival Series manifests of the spirit of muhibah (goodwill). It is a return to the emphasis of humanity and traditional values. The spirit of sharing festive joy, mutual respect and goodwill is in the heart of every Malaysian. These meanings and contents are reflected in this Festival Series. The configuration of forms of festival related cakes, offerings, craft elements and artefacts is intended to convey the spirit of sharing traditional values and goodwill - the Malaysian way of life in this series of work. The beauty and aesthetics of festival related cake forms and artefacts are fully explored, appreciated and enhanced in this Series of works |

节庆系列表达了亲善的內涵，它是以各族间各种与节庆有关的糕点，祭品，民间艺术图像的造型去绘制平面或立体的作品，试图传达马来西亚各族间在节庆中共欢分享的气氛和傳传统精神，更表达了马来西亚人生活之道，因为在节庆中招待客人時若无糕点點，会使节庆毫无气氛。 在这一节庆系列作品中，锺博士以纸浆塑造立体糕点形态，惟妙惟肖地组配在手造紙背景或画布上，再以徒手描绘或用噴射来处理色彩的明暗，再用绒线绑系糕点，呈现出最具个人特色又深具传统內涵的创作。在构图上，他採取正面平淺空间手法，捨棄传统的空间深度。所有的图形，线索，颜色都分佈在平面上，只有疏密的秩序，沒有前后深度，这样，更可以让观赏者在画面上凝神关注。 在这系列作品中，粽子及粿都拔 (Ketupat) 年糕 的不規則的四角造型的东方造型美感充份凸显表达。 |
