heading the earthscape series

The Earthscape series revealed the beautiful soul of the mother Earth. Dr Choong spent his boyhood at the Kinta District which provided him freedom to roam about between tin mine lands and sites. It allowed him not only to enjoy viewing the landscape on land but also allowed him to adorn the colourful strata of vertical embankment of tin mine sites. This condition enabled him to view the hidden soul and beauty of our mother Earth through observing the landscape appearance from above and view the secret of wonder below the land to hymn the wonderful nature of mother Earth.

The main manifestation of this series is that all things "spring forth from the bowels of Earth, live on Earth and return to Earth".

This series was produced in the early 1990’s and can be considered as a continuation of his abstract ink painting series in the 1960’s.
